On Sunday (November 27), the 2011 ARIA Awards were the place to be in Sydney, Australia. The annual event went down at Allphones Arena with a long line of stars working the red carpet press area before heading inside for the Land Down Under ceremony.

Among the early arrivals this year were Kylie Minogue and sister Dannii, with Kylie being inducted into the Hall of Fame by PM Julia Gillard along with fellow HOF honoree The Wiggles.

Upon taking the stage, Miss Minogue told the crowd that she felt “amazement I am still here … Gratitude, humility, wonderment and pride.”

Meanwhile, celebrity presenters turning up for the 2011 ARIAs included the lovely Delta Goodrem in a tan and black Lisa Ho long dress, along with Benji and Joel Madden, Erin McNaught, Katie Noonan and Molly Meldrum.

The show featured performances by acts such as Gurrumul, The Living End, Guy Sebastian, Art vs Science, Drapht and Cut Copy, with a total of thirty trophies being handed out to big winners such as Boy & Bear (who took home a pack leading 5 in categories including Best Album) and Gotye (who won Best Male, Best Pop Release and Best Single for his chart topping single Somebody That I Used to Know).

List of winners for 2011 Tony Awards

Honoring the best and brightest from the world of theatre, the winners of the 2011 Tony Awards were announced during a ceremony held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on Sunday (June 12).

With Neil Patrick Harris hosting the annual tribute to Broadway stars, the night was dominated by the religious satire musical “The Book of Mormon” - which captured nine of its pack-leading fourteen nominations.

Other triumphant stage shows included Best Play winner “War Horse” along with Best Revival of a Play victor “The Normal Heart”.

As for the individual accolades, Mark Rylance took home the Tony for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for his work in “Jerusalem” while Frances McDormand won on the ladies side for her brilliant effort in “Good People”.

The Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical went to “Catch Me If You Can” star Norbert Leo Butz and the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical winner ended up being Sutton Foster of “Anything Goes”.

Lady GaGa at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

On Sunday (September 12), Lady GaGa was arrived at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The “Bad Romance” singer took to the white carpet sporting a funky headdress teamed with a multi-colored gown and platinum blonde hair.

Following a flamboyant white carpet arrival, the “Bad Romance” babe made her way inside to win a slew of shiny trophies, including the night’s top prize for Video of the Year - which she accepted in a dress made of meat.

During her Video of the Year acceptance speech, the 24-year-old belted out a few lyrics while announcing her new album will be titled “Born This Way”.

In related news, Gaga is hopping on the celebrity merchandising bandwagon and has signed a long time licensing deal with Coty Inc.

What this means is that the Lady will be developing signature fragrances for the brand, with her first scent due out in Spring 2012.
